Adam & Eve rebelled against God, setting humanity in sin. The very story is an example of what we do still today when we rebel against the rules of life. By eating the apple, their understanding of the world changed while we are a generation that knows more, we also unfortunately want to experiment and try out more things. We rebel from the things that are designed to keep us safe. We break, challenge, even question the principle of God just so that we can fit into a circle of friends, society and sometime even our families. We break rules that are meant to guide us for momentary things. We rebel against correction, boundaries, code of conducts that make up structures, and even our parent’s household rules. The set of guidelines that are put in place to keep you safe until we’re old enough to decide for ourselves.

This year I have challenged myself and others around me to start looking at what they rebelling against the most and to start praying about it. We have made rebelling against those we love normal and maybe when we look closely to what/why we rebel, we can heal and start rebelling against the things that distance us or drive us away from being an obedient person.

When we return to a place of love, we surrender our needs to be right & prioritise our relationships but mostly to prioritise our walk with Christ. God is love and no one can say they love God and hate people.

Rebel against the disobedience, against proving points for vibes, rebel against blindly following trends and crowds and rebel head first into submission. Submission of the word of God, the authority in your life, Submit into silence, discernment and honesty. Rebel from the things of the world into the fulness of the word of God.
